First and foremost, all submitted manuscripts must include disability representation.
That doesn't mean the plot needs to be disability-centered - We also want books with characters who just happen to be disabled!
At the moment, we are only open to submissions for fiction novels, but you are welcome to submit any genre of fiction!
Our most preferred genres are:
- Young Adult
- Science Fiction
- Fantasy
- 2SLGBTQIA+
- New Adult
- Dystopian
We are not currently in the position to publish memoires, biographies, self-help, essays, recipe books, or children's picture books, but we do hope to expand into more genres over the next year.
If you know what a query letter is and how format one together, feel free to skip to the bottom of this section for contact information.
If not, we've got you! We're going to tell you exactly what we want to see in your query letter.
Feel free to format these elements in whichever way is most accessible to you, but please be sure to include them all.
- The title, genre, intended audience, and approximate word count of your book
- The type(s) of disability representation present in your book
- A summary of your book (and tagline, if you have one)
- Comps: If you believe the fans of certain books/tv shows/movies would especially find your book appealing, please include those titles.
- Your bio. Tell us about yourself, your experience with writing, and why this project is important to you!
- Paste the first 5 to 10 pages of your manuscript into the body of the e-mail. No attachments or links. Please do not send your full manuscript unless requested.
The subject line of your e-mail should be formatted as such: Query - [Title of your Book]

As we are a small independent publisher and can only release so many books per year, we prefer to work with authors who have lived experience in the disabled community, especially since the publishing process can often be so inaccessible to many disabled people.
That being said, there's obviously no ethical way of verifying whether or not manuscript submissions are written by disabled authors, so submissions are on the honor system, and ultimately we make our final manuscript selections based on their content.
But we do hope you will choose to leave these currently limited spaces to those within the community.
Note that we do also offer hired services aside from standard publishing, and we encourage anyone interested to utilize these: Sensitivity reading, video consultation, chapter critiques, etc.
